Our new networking event hailed 'The Chester Women's
Network' will launch tomorrow, offering advice on how best to
network and promote your business. (30th January).
Regional businesses from across Chester will attend the event at the Chesterfields Pub and Restaurant at Chester Road, Chester, including individuals working in the professional services, media, marketing, retail and IT sectors.
The event is being organised by Ellis & Co in partnership with Natwest bank and is designed to support like minded business women with their commercial objectives.
Businesses will be encouraged to network with each other and find the type of expertise they are looking for which might include help with marketing expertise, IT or building a new website.
The idea behind the event is to swap business cards at the end of the session and form new relationships going forward.
The networking session reflects Elllis & Co and Natwest's continued commitment to supporting local businesses.
Robert Ellis, Principal Accountant of Ellis & Co Chartered Accountants and Business Advisers, said: "Ellis & Co and Natwest decided to launch a women's only networking event to benefit our existing clients and open it out to other inspirational female entrepreneurs at a time when it is particularly important to support the local economy.
"We see this event going from strength to strength in the months moving forward as clients will be invited to bring a guest along and we plan to invite an influential guest speaker to future events."
Johanna Holehouse, Women in Business Specialist at Natwest, said: "The Chester Women's Network is a fantastic opportunity for business women to network and exchange ideas.
"It coincides with Natwest's ongoing commitment to supporting local businesses and we want people to gain as much as possible from our sessions. Supporting Women in Business is something I am passionate about. Our ongoing aim is to truly understand and share the ambitions of all of our customers, whatever their background
"Our first session will help attendees break the ice by introducing themselves through an elevator pitch which we will train them to do - it basically gives each individual 30 seconds to introduce themselves and sum up what their company sets out to achieve.
"Along with Ellis & Co we hope this networking session goes from strength to strength and we would love to hear from other business women across the Chester area that would like to come along to future events.''
