The ladies enjoyed an interactive seminar and learnt 6 key aspects of using LinkedIn

1. A general  overview of the LinkedIn system and how it functions

2. Setting up and optimising their personal profile

3. Setting up a LinkedIn Company page

4. Using LinkedIn to target prospective customers

5. Using LinkedIn as a research tool

6. Making the most of the content publishing and groups within the platform.

Andrew says:

“The growing popularity of Linked In within the business community, means it can no longer be ignored, especially given that over 1.5m small businesses are now on LinkedIn.”

The Chester Women’s Network was launched in January by Ellis & Co Chartered Accountants and Business Advisers in Northgate Street, Chester, in partnership with Nat West Bank PLC, to support the city’s businesswomen and help them forge new contacts.

Sara Pomfret of Ellis & Co commented:-

“Today’s workshop was a great opportunity for the ladies to learn more about LinkedIn. Most of us understand the importance of having a LinkedIn profile but Andrew’s tips will have inspired us all to use the networking platform more proactively. It actually only takes a few moments of your time each day to update your contacts and share information which can lead to potential new contacts and new business.”

The next Chester Women’s Network event is scheduled for Tuesday 14th October and continues the theme of digital marketing where the speaker Amanda Dodd from Koogar will deliver a seminar on maximising Marketing with Twitter and Facebook.
