The West Cheshire Women’s Network gathered together for a special Christmas Lunch at Mercure Chester Abbots Well Hotel on Thursday, December 1st marking the start of the festive season and the final event of the year for the Women’s Network.
The West Cheshire Women’s Business Network is an organisation with the aim of bringing business women from across our region, together.
Co-hosted by the West Cheshire & North Wales Chamber of Commerce, Cheshire West and Cheshire Council, Ellis & Co Chartered Accountants and Business Advisers and NatWest Bank, the network celebrates 'women in business’ all whilst giving the opportunity for those in attendance to communicate with and meet local women alike themselves, with a passion and flare for business.
Speaking at the event, Sarah Bailey of Natwest Bank said “The Women’s Network events are always fantastically attended.
"Our aim of connecting, inspiring and helping women to succeed is something we all think is very worthwhile, and today’s event has been a testament to this.”
Over 40 women came together to enjoy a spot of Christmas lunch at the beautiful Cheshire venue, which was wonderfully decorated with festive décor and splendour, in the theme of a ‘Rio Carnival’.
There was also plenty of yuletide cheer in the air as each guest in attendance received a special Christmas gift as a thanks for their continuing support of the West Cheshire Women’s Network over the past 12 months as it goes from strength to strength.
“The Christmas lunch was a lovely way to end the year, thank you to all who attended,” said Natalie Tomlinson, PR and Marketing Manager at Ellis & Co.
“We’ve already planned our four events for 2017, we will be announcing the names of our speakers in the new year, so please keep an eye on our Facebook and LinkedIn pages for details.”
The promise of Christmas entertainment saw all attending engage in a fun-filled Christmas quiz, all before being served a delicious two-course meal.
Guests were treated to a mouth-watering Christmas lunch with all the trimmings, followed shortly by a zesty clementine and rich chocolate tart, accompanied with sweet cream.
After lunch and plenty of chatter, guests were thanked by NatWest's Sarah Bailey who gave the long-awaited answers to the quiz, and awarded the rightful winners with a bottle of champagne.
The West Cheshire Women’s Network continues to grow in both size and popularity and is already looking forward to what is in store for 2017.
The dates for next year’s events have been set and bookings have already been made, proving that the Network’s success looks set to continue well into the new year.
Debbie Stokes, Membership Director from the Chamber of Commerce added: “As we draw closer to the end of the year and the start of the 2017, it’s so rewarding to see how far ‘The West Cheshire Women’s Network’ has come.
"Today’s event was a terrific way to close the year, meeting new and old business friends in such a friendly and relaxed environment."
