Getting behind the wheel of some of the world’s most desirable cars on a daily basis sounds like a dream job for most.

A Lamborghini, Ferrari or Porsche perhaps?

Or maybe an Aston Martin, Audi R8 or a Mustang is more suited to your taste?

Driveme are one of the leading suppliers of driving experiences in the UK - providing adults and juniors with the opportunity to get behind the wheel of some of the world’s most desirable cars.

For the last 13 years, Driveme have been providing these driving experiences to the general public at their Midlands based track in Stafford and have since extended their events to the international track in North Wales at the Anglesey Race Circuit.

Paul Evans and brothers, Allan and Andy Davies are all managing directors of the company, each having a role and sharing the responsibilities; including taking charge of sales and marketing, finance and planning, along with operating and preparing the cars.

Thanks to these good men, more than 300 people a day are given the opportunity to drive a selection of high powered cars.

From driving supercars, such as a Lamborghini, Ferrari, Porsche, Aston Martin, Audi R8, Nissan GTR and Mustang to rally cars which included a Subaru WRX STI, Ford Focus RS, VW Polo and Ford Fiesta.

Also available are 4x4 off road driving experiences, handbrake turns in a rally Renault Clio and speciality junior drives.

It is easy to see why this business is so popular.

“We have people who travel from across the UK to come and drive our cars”, said Paul.

“We bring a lot of tourism to both areas.

“The Anglesey Circuit is only used for supercar experiences, so we use it as and when we need it”.

The fastest car on the Driveme books is surprisingly the Nissan Skyline GTR, which can reach speeds of up to 193 mph, whilst accelerating 0-60 in 3.8 seconds.

“We always like to change and update our cars as we have a lot of repeat business - that way customers won’t have to drive the same car every time they visit” said Paul.

“We have recently purchased two new cars, a £150,000 Lamborghini Huracan in green and a £100,000 Ferrari California in black with a red interior.

“We have been rated as having the best cars in the business by Virgin Experiences, so we need to make sure we stay on top of the game and that means remaining to have the best selection of cars”.

Spending a cool £150,000 on a car requires speciality mechanics and as the Supercars can be very temperamental.

“That is the worst part of the job - when the cars let us down and the costs in fixing them”, said Paul.

Although the business brings with it a lot of hard work, cars and motor racing is a part of everyday life for Paul, Allan and Andy.

“We all compete in motorsport, between us we have won a number of races and rallies”, said Paul.

“We are at events most weekends and my son who is 13 also races.

“Having this business means we can compete at a higher level and promote the business at the same time”.

The driving experiences are sold directly from their company website, and through various agents including Virgin Experience Days, Red Letter Days, Boots, WH Smith and Groupon.

“Our business isn’t straight forward when it comes to our accounts, as we deal in vouchers and a large group of agents who pay us at different times, we have a lot of deferred income”, said Paul.

“We obviously pay out a lot of money at one time too and can make certain claims on cars.

“We have been with Ellis & Co for over 10 years now and they do a great job on our complicated accounts as they understand our business having worked with us for so long now," he added.

“In the early days they came to our workshop and to our event days, it's difficult to understand our business by just looking at a set of accounts as we aren’t your typical sales in and sales out.

“We would highly recommend them.”
