One of Ellis & Co’s senior accountants is celebrating after hitting a ‘major milestone’ in her professional career.

Alison Howell, who joined the team in 2005, has been made a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).

The ACCA fellowship is held in high esteem within the business community; demonstrating an employee’s extensive experience and that they have made a long-term commitment to professionalism and ethics.

It’s only after five-years' continuous membership and compliance with the ACCA’s CPD (Continuing Professional Development) scheme that an accountant earns the right to use ‘FCCA’ after their name and enjoy the additional prestige that comes with it.

FCCA certificates are sealed at a special meeting of the ACCA council.

“I am thrilled to have gained my fellowship status,” said Alison.

“I joined the ACCA in 2004 and have worked with hundreds of clients since then, and of course alongside a great team here at Ellis & Co.

“My certificate will most certainly be given pride of place.”

Robert Ellis, director of Ellis & Co added: “Alison is a highly respected member of the team, who has been with us for the past 13 years.

“This certificate is testament to her experience and professionalism.

“Huge congratulations Alison.”
