Ellis & Co’s latest recruit headed back to school to take part in an apprenticeship mock interview day.
Trainee accountant Nick Clark, joined three other Young Chamber sponsors on Friday, February 8 at Christleton High School.
Nick and the other sponsors helped to equip students with the relevant skills and knowledge for future education and work interviews.
The event began with a networking breakfast, followed by a 60 second introduction by each of the pupils, a team building activity, psychoanalytic assessment, prioritisation tasks and an interview.
“The event was extremely well run and challenged both the pupils and employers,” said Nick.
“From deciding who to save on a desert island to formal interview techniques, it was a great opportunity for the pupils to learn about themselves and gain an insight into the different job opportunities available in West Cheshire and North Wales.
“The Christleton High pupils conducted themselves very professionally and left the event with increased confidence and drive.”
Jenny Davidson, events and Young Chamber manager at the WCNW Chamber, added: “The apprenticeship interview day was one of my favourite Young Chamber events to date.
“The students involved in the programme were all extremely engaged and the tasks and interviews carried out were extremely realistic- I’m thrilled that some students were offered future work placements and apprenticeships!
“Thank you to all sponsors that attended the day and helped to create such a fantastic event.”
