A Chester and Wrexham based accountants has passed its ISAME Governance and Cyber Essentials assessments.

Ellis & Co Chartered Accountants and Business Advisers worked together with Chester based Protos Networks to become fully certified.

The IASME Governance standard was developed over several years during a government backed scheme to create a cyber security standard which would be an affordable and achievable alternative to the international standard, ISO27001.

The IASME Governance standard allows companies in a supply chain to demonstrate their level of cyber security for a realistic cost.

“The accreditation shows that we are taking Cyber Security and data protection seriously, we are taking extra steps to ensure our clients data is secure,” said Natalie Tomlinson, PR and marketing manager at Ellis & Co.

Darren Kewley, technical director at Protos Networks added: “It has been fantastic to work with Ellis & Co on this project in achieving Cyber Essentials and IASME Governance.

“It demonstrates a real commitment to securing the data they hold and it is refreshing to see businesses taking cyber security seriously

“Congratulations to all the team at Ellis & Co on your certification."
