The Department of Work and Pension (DWP) has suspended all debt management collection for a ‘temporary period’. 

Payroll departments are now being advised to suspend all Direct Earning Attachment Orders (DEAs).  

Any debt relating to the overpayment of benefits, tax credits and social funds will not be collected and no new notices will be issued.
