Robert Ellis, director and founder of Ellis & Co Chartered Accountants and Business Advisers, has appointed accountants John Moorhouse, John Farrell and James Ellis as directors.
The three new directors are all long standing employees of the firm, established by Robert in 1989 when he set out to build a firm that would ‘support its clients’.
Today, Ellis & Co is one of the leading accountants and advisers in Chester and North Wales.
“I am very pleased to announce that I will be joined by three new directors,” said Robert.
“This is a very exciting time for the practice and I am thrilled to have John Moorhouse, John Farrell and my son James Ellis involved in the company’s future.”
John Moorhouse, who joined the team in 2002 said: “It’s a real honour to have been made a director.
“Not only do we have a brilliant team at Ellis & Co, but great clients and contacts too, which has been proven during the past few months.
“I look forward to helping the practice continue to grow over the years ahead.”
Robert, who has been the driving force behind the firm’s success, has always stood by his original business plan which was to make Ellis & Co ‘more than just accountants’.
John Farrell, who joined the team in 2004 said: “I’m over the moon to have been appointed a director at Ellis & Co and couldn’t be happier.
“It’s been a great firm to be a part of and I’m glad to have been able to help us grow.
“I have to thank Robert for this opportunity and can hopefully repay him in continuing to contribute in the company’s growth and future success,” he added.
The firm opened a second office in 2006, located on the Redwither Industrial Estate, Wrexham, which allowed Robert to widen his ‘patch’ offering services to Welsh clients and contacts.
“Ellis & Co’s core values of excellent client service and attention to detail are still as important today as when the company was set up over 30 years ago,” said James.
“I’m really pleased to have been made a director, we have a great team and I’m really looking forward to helping the company grow and be successful in the future,” he added.
