If you do not pay business rates you may still be eligible for financial support.
Your business will fall into one of the groups below or a significant percentage of your turnover will relate to the supply and/or support of a business in one of groups:
- non-essential retail,
- hospitality, accommodation,
- leisure, personal care,
- personal fitness and sports businesses.
The Cheshire West COVID-19 Additional Restrictions Grant is a one-off grant called the Additional Restrictions Grant and the amount you receive will depend on the type of business.
A definition for each sector can be found here: Business examples (PDF, 160KB)
Applications from businesses that fall outside these groups will be considered if they continue to be affected by ongoing COVID-19 restrictions.
However, payments to these businesses will only be made once payments to all eligible businesses in the above have been made.
The scheme supports businesses that are predominantly reliant on delivering in-person services who:
- were trading on the April 1, 2021, and
- have not exceeded the maximum permitted subsidy allowances, and
- are not in administration, insolvent or a striking-off notice has been made.
