Employers can claim 70% of furloughed employees' usual wages for the hours not worked, up to a cap of £2,187.50 per month.
“Employers will need to pay the difference of their employees wage to at least 80% of their usual wages, up to a cap of £2,500 a month,” said Lisa Mcleod, payroll manager at Ellis & Co Chartered Accountants and Business Advisers.
“From August 1 this claim will drop to 60% with a cap of £1,875, this will continue until the end of September.”
